So Here’s What You Should Know About Me…
I was born a beautiful child of the 90′s who was brought up living a stereotypical fear-based life, but all that changed this year when I decided to embrace love and check my fears at the door. After 10 painful years of living with a severe and chronic general anxiety disorder, I am over the moon to say that today my anxiety has dissolved, (thanks to holistic practices) and I now feel tremendous joy instead of insurmountable hurt. My life is glorious in every way that counts, and that’s because I finally decided to reclaim my power and start living each day with passion and purpose. This journey I’ve been on is proof that you can overcome your anxiety disorder holistically, so I encourage every young woman out there to join me by healing your hurt into happiness!
Official Biography
I am a holistic anxiety coach/motivational speaker/self-help author for young women struggling with anxiety. Having silently suffered from a severe and chronic anxiety disorder for over a decade, I experienced countless panic attacks and symptoms such as uncontrollable neck/hand shaking, spontaneous sweats, full-body tension, shivering, stomach queasiness, etc… In fact, over the course of my teen years, my disorder became so out of control that it finally consumed every minute of every day; it was literally non-stop. Finally, at age 19 while living away at college, I hit a proverbial wall and realized 2 key facts: I could no longer stand living each day with my numerous symptoms, and I did in fact have an anxiety disorder. Immediately feeling empowered to seek help for my newly recognized ailment, I embraced the Western medicine approach, finding a good psychiatrist and opting to start on anti-anxiety medication. After a year of treatment, though, I eventually accepted a conclusion that I had known all along: Drugs don’t heal disease and imbalances; they only mask them. Therefore, without a plan B or any other safety net to fall back on, I decided to wean off of the 3 medications I was taking at the time with the understanding that most if not all of my symptoms would probably return. Miraculously, it was in this darkest hour of vulnerability and need that I stumbled upon a way to truly heal myself, holistic living.
In this past year, I have successfully healed my anxiety disorder via holistic practices and lifestyle changes and am now ready to share the wealth and help other women just like me heal themselves. I believe that there is absolutely no reason to suffer and struggle with anxiety or any other mental health issue when you have the tools and techniques to effectively manage your symptoms. Today, I promote self-empowerment as the cornerstone to healing and want every anxious young woman to know that they have the power to take back control of their lives at any time. Through my coaching, speaking, writing and the creation of the Hip 2 B Hol community, I am on a mission to inspire love and eradicate fear in all of those who are willing to take responsibility for their anxiety.
